Discovery Of Body In Cork
The body of a man has been discovered in County Cork on Thursday night.
Gardaí at Togher, Cork said they are investigating the circumstances surrounding the discovery of the body of a man in his 20’s at Cork Road, Passage West at approximately 11.45 pm.
A man, also in his 20's, has been arrested in connection with this incident and is currently detained in Togher Garda Station under Section 4 of The Criminal Justice Act, 1984.
The scene at Cork Road, Passage West is currently preserved for a Gardaí technical examination. Diversions are in place.
Gardaí are appealing for anyone with information in relation to this incident to contact them at Togher Garda Station 021- 4947120, The Garda Confidential line 1800-666-111 or any Garda Station.

The 35-year-old, who was originally from Poland, was attacked by a gang at his home in Maglin on 10 June. It comes after another man was arrested in Cork yesterday morning and taken to Togher Garda Station for questioning.

Appeal Issued For Missing Cork Woman
Gardaí in Cork have appealed for help in tracing 32-year-old Kelly Leslie, who is missing from her home in Cork. Ms Kelly was last seen on Wednesday morning at Maryborough Hill in Togher. It is believed that she is driving a gold coloured Opel Astra 08 D. Kelly is described being 5'3'' in height with receding brown hair.

Gardaí from the Cork City Divisional Drugs Unit, supported by other local and regional units, carried out an operation in Togher, Cork city, on Monday night, 5 October 2026, targeting the sale and supply of drugs. A search of a domestic residence under warrant led to the seizure of suspected cannabis with an estimated street value of €350,000.
