Discovery Of Body In Cork

The body of a man has been discovered in County Cork on Thursday night.

Gardaí at Togher, Cork said they are investigating the circumstances surrounding the discovery of the body of a man in his 20’s at Cork Road, Passage West at approximately 11.45 pm.

A man, also in his 20's, has been arrested in connection with this incident and is currently detained in Togher Garda Station under Section 4 of The Criminal Justice Act, 1984.

The scene at Cork Road, Passage West is currently preserved for a Gardaí technical examination. Diversions are in place.

Appeal Issued For Missing Cork Woman
Gardaí in Cork have appealed for help in tracing 32-year-old Kelly Leslie, who is missing from her home in Cork. Ms Kelly was last seen on Wednesday morning at Maryborough Hill in Togher. It is believed that she is driving a gold coloured Opel Astra 08 D. Kelly is described being 5'3'' in height with receding brown hair.

Man Arrested Over The Murder Of Mikolaj Wilk
A man has been arrested in connection with the murder of Mikolaj Wilk in County Cork last June. The suspect, aged in his 30s, has been detained at Togher Garda Station. 35-year-old Mr Wilk, who was originally from Poland, died when he was attacked by a gang at his home in Ballingcollig.

Sixth Man Arrested Over Murder Of Aidan O'Driscoll
A sixth man has been arrested in connection with the murder of dissident republican Aidan O'Driscoll. The suspect was arrested in Cork on Sunday, 09 April. He is being questioned at Mayfield Garda Station. Mr O'Driscoll was shot dead in Blackpool, Cork, on 07 December 2016.
