Appeal Over Dublin Security Van Robbery Launched

An appeal for witnesses to a robbery of a security van in Dublin has been launched on Friday.

Gardai said they are appealing for witnesses to the robbery of the security van on Wednesday the 7 December. The incident happened on Errigal Raod, Crumlin, Dublin 12 at about 4.40pm.

During the incident, a man armed with a handgun approached a security van making a delivery to a Post Office in the area.

A cash box containing a quantity of cash was stolen and the raider made his getaway on a moped being driven by a second man.

Gardaí said they are asking anyone who was in the area of Errigal Road between 4pm and 5pm last Wednesday the 7th of December to contact them at Crumlin Garda Station on 01 666 6200.

Gardaí in Dublin have arrested a man in connection with a cash-in-transit van robbery early on Friday morning. It is understood that a number of armed men held up the van at about 07:40am on Cork Street in Dublin, making off with a sum of money.

Two Arrested In Connection With Cash-In-Transit Van Robbery
Two men have been arrested in connection with a cash-in-transit van robbery in Dublin. The men, aged in their 20s and 60s, have been detained by Gardai in connection with the incident which happened on Fortunestown Way last October. Both men are being held at Tallaght Garda Station where they can be questioned for up to 72 hours.

Cash-In-Transit Van Robbery Foiled By Passing Garda Patrol
Gardaí have foiled an attempted cash-in-transit van robbery in Clondalkin, west Dublin. According to garda at around 11:20am two men approached a guard from the van as he made a delivery at the Bawnogue Shopping Centre, threatening him with a firearm.
