Sony Ireland Website Hacked

Sony Music Ireland have reported their website has been hacked following the publishing of three fake news stories on their homepage this morning.

The industry giant has launched an investigation into the incident and have redirected the www.sonymusic.ie domain to the company's Facebook page.

Sony has confirmed that all three news stories appearing on the site are false.

One headline reads 'Tragedy Strikes The Script' and reports the death of two of the band members.

In a statement Sony Music said all of the group are fine.

Other fake stories discuss singer Rebecca Black, R Kelly and the X Factor contestants.
