Gardaí Arrest Man Over Assaults
Gardaí are investigating two assaults that took place yesterday evening in Dublin.
Yesterday, around 6pm in St. Anne's Park, a man in his late 20s approached a father who was with his partner and their young child.
Without provocation, the man assaulted the father with a broken bottle leaving him with minor injuries.
Upon approaching a man fitting the description on Main Street in Raheny, a Garda was assaulted with a broken bottle.
He was taken to hospital for eye treatment, but has since been released.
The suspect was arrested and is being detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.

Man Arrested Over Limerick Shooting
A 22-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a shooting incident in Limerick. A 42-year-old man received gunshot injuries after a male approached premises and shot him on Saturday at approximately 2pm. The man was taken to Limerick University Hospital and his injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

Missing Cork Man Found 'Safe And Well'
A missing 52-year-old man from Cork has been found 'safe and well', garda have reported. John Ryan was last seen in the Shanakiel area of Cork City on Wednesday, 24 May. However, Mr Ryan has now been located and no further action is required.

Missing Co Mayo Man Found 'Safe And Well'
Missing Co Mayo man, David Duffy, has been found safe and well, garda have reported. Garda had issued an appeal for help in tracing 36-year-old Mr Duffy, who had not been seen since Sunday. Garda have thanked the public for their help and said that no further action is needed.

Man Dies In Stabbing Incident
A 30-year-old has died and a second man has been injured in a stabbing incident in Tullamore, Co Offaly, shortly after 7am this morning. It is believed there had been an argument in a house in the area and a Polish man was killed. The other man's injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

Descriptions Released Of Gang Attackers
The descriptions of a gang who attacked a man walking through Dublin on Sunday night have been released. The attack happened between 3.30am and 4am, during which a man walking with three friends on College Green, Dublin 2 was attacked by a group of up to nine other males.
