Man Killed In Ennis Crash
A man aged in his 40s has been fatally injured when his motorcycle was in collision with a motorcar in County Clare.
Gardai in the area said they are appealing for witnesses into the fatal road traffic collision, which occurred on the R352 Ennis to Tulla Road, at approximately 7.30am this morning.
The road was closed for technical examination and diversions are in place.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Ennis Garda Station 065 6848100, or the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111.
Meanwhile, AA Road Watch are warning that drivers should exercise "extreme care" as conditions remain wet and slippery in many areas.
A spokesman said there were a number of collisions this morning. In Meath, the N52 Ardee to Kells Road will be closed for works between Gravelstown & Staholmog from 7am to 6pm until this Thursday.
Meanwhile on the N18 to Co Clare, the road will be closed 5km south of Crusheen village from today until 5th Nov. Diversions will operate through Barefield village. Allow an extra 15 minutes especially if you traveling to Shannon Airport.
The N3 Dublin to Cavan Road is closed again after reopening for the weekend. The stretch between Virginia and Maghera from 7am to 6pm daily is opening at 3:30pm this Friday and drivers are asked to allow an extra 30 minutes for the journey.

A 19-year-old man has died in a road crash in Co Kilkenny. The incident happened around 11pm on Tuesday night, when the man's car collided with a van on the Freshford Road at Troyswood. The man, whose identity has not yet been released, was pronounced dead at the scene and his body was taken to St Luke's Hospital.

Two Killed In Separate Crashes
Two men, both in their 30s, have been killed in separate road crashes over the weekend. In the most recent incident, a 30-year-old male was fatally injured when the car he was a front seat passenger in collided with a second vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene and his body has been removed to Cavan General Hospital.

Gardaí in Co Wicklow have appealed for witnesses to a fatal road crash on Sunday night. A 22-year-old died when the car he was driving hit a ditch at Milltown Lane in Ashford just before midnight. A passenger in the car, a 26-year-old man, was taken to St Columcille's Hospital in Loughlinstown. He is said to have sustained minor injuries.
