Three Arrest Over Youtube Driving Video

Three men are being questioned by gardaí and two cars have been seized after a video posted on YouTube showed a group of young men from Nenagh, Co Tipperary, driving dangerously on a country road.

The video, clearly displays the registration plates of the cars along with the faces of the young men involved, who are each identified by nickname. The makers of the video also display an email address at the end of the video for viewers to contact them.

The Road Safety Authority described the footage as "shocking" and "reckless".

Meanwhile this morning, a 31-year-old man died following an early morning road accident in Co Laois.

The incident happened on the Mountmellick to Rosenallis Road between 4am and 5.30am. The man died when his car collided with a ditch.

The road is currently closed and diversions are in place locally.

Three people have been killed following a series of separate road accidents over the weekend. Gardai are investigating a fatal collision at Dowagh Cross, Claremorris in Co. Mayo. The collision occurred at 1.20 am on Sunday morning.

Four Men Dead In Separate Collisions
A total of four men have died in a spate of separate car collisions over the weekend. In the most recent incident, a motorcyclist collided with a pick-up truck towing a trailer, resulting in the death of the motorcyclist, a man in his late 20s. The collision which occurred at Cloghnadromin, Ballysimon, CoLimerick at approx 1.30pm on Sunday.
