Two Held Over Navan Murder
Gardaí investigating the murder of a 63-year-old man in Navan last month have arrested two teenagers.
Martin O'Gorman, from Athlone, was found lying unconscious on Academy Street on June 21. It is believed that he was attacked by a group of people.
He was taken to Our Lady Of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda, but was later transferred to Beaumont Hospital in Dublin, where he died a week later.
Two males, aged 16 and 18, have been arrested in connection with the murder. The elder of the two is being held at Kells Garda Station, while the younger male is being questioned at Navan Garda Station.

An investigation has been launched into the death of a man at Navan Garda Station in Co Meath on Thursday night. The 52-year-old, who was arrested yesterday for a public order offence, was found lying on the floor of a cell shortly after 10pm. The man was said to have been in an intoxicated state taken into custody for public order reasons.

Murder Investigation Launched Into Body Found In Co Meath
Gardaí in Co Meath have launched a murder investigation following the discovery of a man's body in a field. The body of Paul Gallagher (26) was found at about 17:00 on Wednesday. Gardaí said that he had been shot several times. The body was removed to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda. A post-mortem is to be carried out today.

Investigation Launched Into Armed Robbery In Co Meath
An investigation has been launched following an armed robbery at a shop in Kildalkey, Co Meath At approximately 17:45 on Thursday, two males entered a shop armed with a hand gun and an iron bar. They threatened staff and removed an amount of cash before leaving the store. It is understood they were driven from the scene in a waiting car.

A 63-year-old man has been pronounced dead on arrival at Our Lady's Hospital, Navan after a road accident on Wednesday morning. He died after he was struck by a truck at Millbrook, Oldcastle, Co Meath at 7.30am. Gardaí at Kells Garda Station have appealed for anyone who witnessed the collision, or anyone who was in the area between 7am and 7.

An elderly woman who was hit by a car in Dublin has died in hospital. The incident occurred on the Navan Road at around 8.15am on Sunday, 04 September. The driver of the car was arrested and taken to Finglas Garda Station. He has been released and a file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).
