Two Held Over 2007 Killing

Two people have been arrested in connection with the killing of Katy French in 2007.

This morning, Gardai in Navan said they had arrested two people in connection with the ongoing investigation into the death of the 24-year-old Katy French who died on 6th December, 2007.

The male, 40, and female, 29, were arrested this morning and are expected to appear at Trim District Court at 10.30am this morning.

Ms French, 24, died in hospital on Thursday, December 6th 2007 after collapsing at a friend's house the previous Sunday.

She had celebrated her 24th birthday, along with a host of celebrity and media friends, the week before she died, in Dublin's Krystle nightspot.

Born in Switzerland, her family moved to Ireland when she was a young girl and settled in Enniskerry.

A man and a woman have received suspended sentences in connection with the death of model Katy French in December 2007. 43-year-old Kieron Ducie, 43, of Lambertstown Manor, Kilmessan, Co Meath and 32-year-old Ann Corcoran of Tolka Road, Clonliffe Road, Dublin, both pleaded guilty to a single charge.

Appeal For Witnesses To Early Morning Shooting In Dublin
Gardaí have appealed for witnesses to a shooting in Dublin this morning. According to garda a man was shot just after 9am on Thursday morning on Clonard Street. The victim has been taken to hospital but no details of his condition have been released. The scene of the shooting has been sealed off pending a technical examination.
