Saville Inquiry Published

The lawyers for the families of those killed and injured on Bloody Sunday and those representing the soldiers involved are this morning studying Lord Saville's report on the events.

The shootings in Derry were among the most controversial of all the bloody events in the Northern Ireland's decades of conflict.

Thirteen people died in 1972 when British soldiers opened fire on civil rights marchers in Londonderry.

This morning's preview comes just hours ahead of the PM's statement in the House of Commons and full publication at the same time. The Saville Report cost £195m and took 12 years to complete. See: Reg Slams Inquiry
