Man Killed In Kildare Crash

A man has died after a road crash in County Kildare in the early hours of yesterday.

Gardaí have confirmed this morning that the man who was fatally injured in the crash was 22-years-old.

Another man and woman who were also traveling in the car were seriously injured and were aged 21 and 30 respectively.

All three were in the same car when it crashed on the motorway and there was no other vehicle involved. They removed by ambulance to Naas General Hospital.

Gardai are investigating the incident which occurred on the M9 (between exits 3 and 4 on the northbound carriageway) near Ballytore in County Kildare. The crash occurred at about 2.45am.

The road at the scene of the crash is closed and is expected to be closed for most of today.

Meanwhile, Gardai at Howth are appealing for witnesses to a single vehicle road traffic collision that occurred at approximately 6.15pm Friday.

A male motorcyclist in his 30’s received serious, but not life threatening, injuries when he lost control of the motorcycle he was riding, a green Yamaha 02 D registration, under the Moyne Bridge. The motorcycle was travelling from the Malahide direction towards Portmarnock. There was no one else injured.

Gardai at Howth wish to appeal for witnesses to this collision or to anyone who may have been in the area of Moyne road around the time of the collision to contact them at 01 6664900, The Garda Confidential Telephone Line 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.

Two men and two women were also injured and are currently in hospital. Their injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

Man Killed In Co Louth Road Crash
A man has died in a road collision in Co Louth. The single-vehicle crash occurred at Rassan on the Dundalk to Castleblaney Road at around 7am today, 05 September. The man was pronounced dead at the scene. The road has been closed and diversions have been put in place. Gardai are appealing for witnesses to contact them.

Man Questioned Over Fatal Road Crash In Co Mayo
Garda have detained a man in connection with a fatal road crash in Co Mayo on Sunday, 08 May. A 41-year-old motorcyclist was killed when his bike collided with a van on the N26 at Ballinahaglush at around 3.45pm. A man was arrested and is being detained at Ballina Garda Station.

Tipperary Road Crash Claims Life
A man has been killed in a single-car crash in Co. Tipperary this morning. The crash happened shortly after 8am on Thursday on the road between Templemore and Borrisoleigh. Another man was also critically injured in the crash. Both men are believed to be in their twenties.
