Eight Arrested Over Shooting Incident
A total of eight people are under arrest in connection with a shooting incident that led to the injury of a member of Gardaí.
Gardai in Ronanstown investigating the shooting incident, which occurred in the Greenfort area of Clondalkin on December 13 last, today arrested eight people including five males and three females.
They are being detained under the Offences against the State Act in the Leixlip, Lucan and Clondalkin Garda Stations in West Dublin.
Gardaí said this morning said the arrests were made with the assistance of local and national units, including the Emergency Response Unit and the National Bureau of Criminal Investigation.
At the time of the shooting Gardaí were investigating reports of firebomb damage to a house. A number of shots were discharged in the direction of a neighbouring house, one of which entered through the front door where three members of An Garda Síochána were speaking with the resident.
One of them, understood to be a sergeant, received injuries to his hands and body from flying glass after five shots were fired into the hallway where the Gardaí were standing.

Two Held Over Attempted Shooting Attack Released
Two men arrested in connection with an attempted shooting attack in Dublin have been released without charge. The incident occurred at a car park next to the Islandbridge Court Apartments on 1 November. A Honda Civic rammed another car at the scene. Two occupants in the car then ran after the driver of the other vehicle and fired a number of shots.

Gardaí Investigating Shooting Incident
Gardaí are investigating a shooting incident in Ballymun, Dublin. The incident occurred this morning, 07 December, during a planned search of a house in Barnwell Drive. Two people have been injured – a Garda and male civilian. Both were treated at the scene by Gardaí and Dublin Fire Brigade and have since been taken to hospital for treatment.

Gardaí have issued an appeal for information after a cyclist was run off the road before being shot a number of times in Dublin. Shortly after 9.30pm last night, Monday 27 March, a man was cycling on James Joyce Street when he was struck by a silver Ford Focus, license plate 08CN6682, at the junction of James Joyce Street and Sean McDermott Street.
