Examination Due On Dublin Body
Gardaí are awaiting the results of a forensic examination after the body of a woman was found in Co Dublin.
State Pathologist Dr Marie Cassidy is due to carry out a preliminary examination on the human remains found in the Dublin Mountains yesterday.
A person out walking at around 2.20pm found the remains near Viewing Point on Military Road in Rathfarnham.
The scene has been preserved for technical examination.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Dundrum Garda Station on 6665600 or the Garda Confidential Line, 1800 666 111. A full post mortem examination is also due to be carried out today.
It is unknown how long the remains had been there and details continue to emerge.

Investigation Launched After Woman's Body Found
Gardai have launched an investigation following the discovery of a woman's body in a house in Dublin. The body of the 43-year-old was found in a house in Rathgar Road in Rathmines just before midnight on Wednesday. A forensic examination is being carried out and the body remains at the scene.

Gardaí have appealed for witnesses to a fatal road traffic in Castlebellingham, Co Louth on Sunday. A man in his 40s died following a three car collision on the M1 northbound, between junctions 15 and 16 and about 22:30. The man was the driver of one of the vehicles.

Man Dies In Crash In Co Galway
A man has died following a collision in Ballinsloe, Co Galway. The crash occurred just after 10.30pm on Tuesday at Clookeenkerrill. It is understood the man was killed after the vehicle crashed into a tree. A post-mortem examination is to be carried out. The road remains closed and diversions are in place.

Large quantities of cannabis plants have been discovered following a search of a house in Coothill, Co Cavan. Gardaí discovered over 1,300 cannabis plants being cultivated in a vacant property on Church Street at around 2pm yesterday. The plants have an estimated street value of €520,000.
