Arrests Follow Deadly Double Shooting

Four people are in custody today as Gardai at Pearse Street station investigating the fatal shooting at Pearse House on Sunday continue to probe the deadly incident.

Three males and one female were arrested in Dublin overnight and are currently detained at City Centre Garda Stations under Section 50 Criminal Justice Act 2007.

The shooting incident occurred at Pearse House, Pearse Street at approximately 6.45pm on Sunday and left two men with serious injuries following the shooting incident.

The police said that one of the injured men was removed to St James Hospital while the other man was taken to St Vincent’s University Hospital.

Both men were pronounced dead a short time later.

Last night, the scene at Pearse House was preserved for technical examination as a major investigation got under way.

Missing Man Found 'Safe And Well'
A 31-year-old Dublin man missing since 08 September has been found "safe and well", gardaí have reported. Stephen Sherlock was reported missing from the Pearse Street area of Dublin on Tuesday, 08 September. Garda were concerned for his welfare. Ten days after the appeal, garda said Mr Sherlock has been found.

Five Arrested Following Dublin Protest
Gardai arrested five people following a protest outside the Department of Justice building in Dublin. The five were arrested for public order offences. They were charged at Pearse Street Garda Station and released. All five are due to appear in court on 23 April.

Bicycle Courier Bandit Strikes Jewellers
Gardaí are searching for a robber - a male - who, posing as a bicycle courier, smashed the front window of a Dublin jewellers and pedaled away to make his escape on two wheels. Breaking the jeweller's display window with a hammer, he then grabbed a quantity of jewellery and ran to his bicycle.
