Crash Death Garda Buried Today
The funeral of the young garda who died in a road crash in Co Donegal at the weekend has taken place in Co Leitrim.
Gary McLoughlin, 24, from Fenagh near Ballinamore, was killed when the patrol car he was travelling in with a colleague was in a collision with another vehicle near Burt, Co Donegal, on the main Letterkenny to Derry Road.
Police are waiting to question the driver of the other vehicle involved in the crash. It is understood that he suffered head injuries and broken leg and toe in the crash and he remains under garda supervision at Letterkeny Hospital.
On Monday, Taoiseach Brian Cowen travelled to Buncrana Garda Station on to pay his respects to Mr McLoughlin.

Man Questioned Over Fatal Road Crash In Co Mayo
Garda have detained a man in connection with a fatal road crash in Co Mayo on Sunday, 08 May. A 41-year-old motorcyclist was killed when his bike collided with a van on the N26 at Ballinahaglush at around 3.45pm. A man was arrested and is being detained at Ballina Garda Station.

Man Arrested Over Dublin Body Find
A man has been arrested in connection with the murder of a man in Dublin last week. The body of Kevin Molloy was found at his home in Glendhu Road in Cabra, Dublin, on Sunday 01 February. Investigating garda said they believed Mr Molloy's body had laid undiscovered for some time.

A man has died in a road collision in Co Louth. The single-vehicle crash occurred at Rassan on the Dundalk to Castleblaney Road at around 7am today, 05 September. The man was pronounced dead at the scene. The road has been closed and diversions have been put in place. Gardai are appealing for witnesses to contact them.
