Death Threat To Northern DPP Chair

The Sinn Féin chair of Moyle's District Policing Partnership (DPP) has been told his life is under threat.

Oliver McMullan was warned of the death threat during a phone call from the PSNI last night. It is not known who has issued the threat.

Mr McMullan has continued to push ahead with DPP meetings in the area despite disruptions.

Several months ago the building where a meeting was taking place had to be evacuated following a bomb scare.

Mr McMullan said the threats will not deter him from his work.

"Things like that just make you more determined to carry on and do what you are elected to do," he said.

"I always believe that things like that show that you must be doing your job."
