Coulter Plays At Stabbed Friend's Funeral
The 22-year-old student who was stabbed to death in last weekend's knife attack at his family home in Bray is due to be buried this afternoon.
Hundreds of mourners turned out to pay their respects at Sebastien Creane's removal in Bray last night.
His funeral service was at the Church of the Holy Redeemer in Bray this morning, before his burial in Ballina, Co Mayo, this afternoon.
The mass began with a rendition of Bridge Over Troubled Waters, sung by Tommy Fleming, with family friend composer, Phil Coulter playing piano.
The chief celebrant, Brendan McHale, told the mourners that, although Mr Creane's days were brief, his spirit was alive, awake and complete.
A keen photographer, he was due to enter the fourth year of a degree programme in Visual Communications at Dun Laoghaire Institute of Art Design and Technology in just a few weeks' time.
The events that led to the fatal stabbing of Sebastien 'Seb' Creane in Cuala Grove in the early hours of Sunday, August 16 are tragic, with the alleged killer Shane Clancy - also aged just 22 - stabbing himself to death afterwards.

A post-mortem examination is due to be carried out on the body of a woman found on a beach in Bray. It is understood that the body was found at about 07:30 on Saturday morning. Gardaí said that it is believed to be a woman aged between 40 and 50.

A student at the centre of last weekend's suspected murder-suicide incident in Bray is due to be laid to rest later today. The deceased, Shane Clancy ,22, is suspected of fatally stabbing 22-year-old Sebastien Creane at his home in the Co Wicklow town in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Garda Appeal For Information On Serious Assault In Bray
An investigation has been launched into an assault incident in County Wicklow. According to reports, a man aged in his 60s was allegedly assaulted on Adelaide Road in Bray at about 8pm. It is understood that the man suffered head wounds and remains in a serious condition at St Vincent's Hospital.
