Swimming Pool Drowning Investigated
There has been two Irish drowning tragedies within 24 hours of each other.
In the Irish Republic, a post mortem is to be carried out later today on the body of an eight-year-old boy who drowned in a Co Meath swimming pool yesterday.
The victim got into difficulty in the pool at Navan Leisure Centre on Thursday afternoon.
His body was taken to Navan Hospital, where the child's body is expected to be examined later by the Coroner.
Meanwhile, searches are continuing in Co Antrim for a 14-year-old boy who was swept away in the River Bush yesterday.
He is believed to have jumped into the water to rescue his dog.
A man - a PSNI officer who is the victim's father - and another boy had to be rescued from the water.
The dog, which belonged to the missing boy, also emerged safely from the swollen river's waters.

Missing Five-Year-Old Boy Found 'Safe And Well'
A young boy missing from Dun Laoghaire has been found "safe and well", Gardaí have reported. Richard Roche, aged 5, went missing from the People's Park on Sunday, 02 July. However, he has now been found and Gardaí wish to express their thanks to all members of the public and media for their assistance.

Missing Teenager Found 'Safe And Well'
A 14-year-old boy reported missing on Wednesday has been found "safe and well. Garda issued an appeal for help in tracing Dillon O'Neill, who had not been seen since just before 18:00 on Wednesday, 07 September.

A 4-year-old boy remains in a critical condition following an incident at a hotel swimming pool in Cork on Monday. According to reports emergency services were called to the Quality Hotel in Redbarn, Youghal at about 14:00.

Garda Appeal For Witnesses To Fatal Road Crash
Gardaí in Co Westmeath are appealing to witnesses of a fatal road accident on the Athlone bypass on Sunday afternoon. A five-month-old baby boy died after the car he was travelling in veered off the road onto the hard shoulder and collided with the crash barrier. A three-year-old girl was also injured in the collision.
