Gardaí Release Description Of Bank Robbers

The descriptions of two men thought believed to have been involved in a bank robbery have been released by Gardaí.

Officers at Cahir say they are seeking the publics’ assistance in relation to a Bank Robbery that occurred at the AIB, Clogheen, Co. Tipperary on Friday at approximately 10am.

During the incident, two men dressed as workmen entered the bank and threatened staff before escaping with an undisclosed sum of money. No one was injured.

The first of the two men is described as being shaven headed with a light beard wearing a dust mask on his face. He had a blue hard hat and a grey coloured hooded type high visibility jacket with a name printed on the back. He had black footwear with a white rim and wore surgical type gloves. He was of strong build.

The second male had dark coloured hair and also wore a dust mask on his face. He had a white hard hat, dark coloured top with grey trousers, white shoes and green gardening gloves. He was also described as being of strong build.

A red coloured hatchback type car, possibly a Volkswagen Golf, was seen acting suspiciously in Clogheen prior to the robbery.

Gardai are appealing to any witness who saw anything suspicious in Clogheen or the surrounding area on the morning of the 3rd of July, to contact Cahir Garda Station, 052 – 7445630, The Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.

Witnesses Sought To Cash-In-Transit Van Robbery
Gardaí have appealed for witnesses to a cash-in-transit robbery at La Touche Road, Bluebell, Dublin on Thursday afternoon. It is understood that at approximately 3:35pm, two men approached and threatened security staff as they were delivering cash to a Post Office. One of the robbers is believed to have been armed with a handgun.

Gardai Appeal For Help To Trace Sylvia Walsh
