South Dublin Farmer's Market Opens Today

The Farmer's Market in south Dublin will be officially opened this afternoon by County Mayor Marie Corr.

The market was successfully re-launched in Chambers Square on 22 April.

It is located between the Library and Civic theatre, beside the main car park of the Square Shopping Centre.

The market operates every Friday from 11am - 4pm offering a wide selection of meats, vegetables, fruit, breads, cheeses, hot foods and local crafts.

Currently there are over twenty stalls but with growing popularity this number is set to increase, according to the council.

An spokesman for the market said: "Offering fresh produce at affordable prices the market offers the people of south Dublin an exciting and diverse alternative to the local supermarket."
