Three Killed On Weekend Roads
More people have been killed in separate incidents on Ireland's roads during the weekend.
A male in his 20s was fatally injured when the car he was driving lost control and left the road in Co Limerick.
He was pronounced dead at the scene. He was the sole occupant and no other vehicle was involved. The incident occurred at approximately 6.30am on Saturday morning on the N20, Cork to Limerick road, south of Buttevant.
The road was subsequently closed and diversions were put in place. Garda Forensic Collision Investigators visited the scene.
In a separate incident, Gardaí at Henry Street in Limerick are investigating a fatal road traffic collision that occurred on the R463, Corbally Road, at approximately 2.30pm on Sunday.
A 74-year-old woman was seriously injured after being struck by a car. She died later in the afternoon after being taken to Limerick Regional Hospital, Dooradoyle.
The R463 is closed between the junctions with Mill Road and the Grove Island Roundabout pending a Garda forensic collision investigation.
Finally, A man in his 40s was fatally injured when is vehicle crashed at Bundoran Road, Sligo yesterday. Gardai are investigating the fatal collision, which took place shortly before 11.00pm.
The man was taken by ambulance to Sligo General Hospital where he was later pronounced dead. A female passenger in the car, who is in her late 30s, was uninjured.
There was no other vehicle involved in the crash.

Gardaí in Ballynacargy are seeking help over what is now a fatal single vehicle road traffic collision. It occurred at Balroe, shortly after 6.00am on Saturday, 8th August.

Ireland's roads have been a theatre of tragedy for three young men this weekend, after a string of fatalities. In the most recent incident, a man aged 27 was fatally injured when the SUV and trailer he was driving crashed at Shangort, Partry, Castlebar. There was no other vehicle involved in the crash.

Man Killed In Fatal Car Crash In Co Monaghan
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses after a man was killed in a car crash in Co Monaghan. The two-vehicle collision happened at 6:30pm on the N54 Monaghan to Clones Road in Aghalisk yesterday, 05 January. The 68-year-old victim was fatally injured in the crash and declared dead at the scene.

Two people have died on Ireland's roads after traffic collisions in Dublin and Kilkenny in the last two days. In the latest incident, a male aged 19 was fatally injured when the motorcycle he was driving collided with a stationary vehicle. His body was taken to Tallaght Hospital.
