Gardaí Release Warning Over Rugby Traffic

Gardaí have launched a warning to the thousands of drivers who will be making their way to the England versus Ireland rugby match on Saturday

The RBS Six Nations Rugby International between Ireland and England takes place at 5.30pm at Croke Park and gardaí have announced that a traffic management plan will be in operation.

A spokesman said: "Supporters attending this event should be aware that traffic volumes will be increased and traffic delays can be expected."

The main affected routes on the day are expected to be as follows:
  1. N.7 / Naas Road/ Red Cow Luas car park
  2. N.4/ Palmerstown
  3. N.3 Blanchardstown and N.2 Finglas
  4. N.11 Stillorgan/ Donnybrook
  5. N.81
  6. M.1
  7. M.50
  8. Dublin City Centre.
The Gardaí warning also contained a reminder that road users should reduce speed, wear seat belts and never drink and drive.
