Shooting Victim's Father Injured In Finglas Gun Attack

The father of the man shot on Sunday in a Finglas pub has fallen victim to another gun attack in the area, only two days after the previous incident.

The man in his early 50s is recovering in hospital after he was shot in north Dublin last night.

Both incidents are believed to be connected, and related to a local feud in the area.

A Gardaí spokesman reported that a man was shot at a house in the Casement Park area of Finglas shortly after 8.00pm last night.

The victim was hit twice in the lower body after at least five shots were fired into the house.

Hit in the arm and hip before the gunman fled, he was taken to Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown with injuries that are described as not life-threatening.

According to recent reports, it is believed the man is Patrick Thompson from Plunkett Drive, Finglas. The man's son has been identified as Gary Thompson from the same area.

No arrests have been made in connection with the latest incident.
