Taoiseach Attends Special EU Summit In Brussels

Taoiseach Brian Cowen is due to attend an informal meeting of Heads of State and Government in Brussels.

The global financial crisis will be discussed at the meeting.

The European Union's approach to the discussions at the G20 Summit in Washington on November 15 will also be on the agenda.

Fianna Fáil Comments On UK Referendum Result

Just days after the Irish premier, Enda Kenny was at the EC, the Dáil Finance Minister Michael Noonan is today to attend the meeting of Eurozone Finance Ministers in Brussels. Minister Noonan also met with EU economics Commissioner Oli Rehn this morning.

Taoiseach Visits Brussels To Attend Tripartite Social Summit
The Taoiseach, Mr Enda Kenny T.D., is in Brussels today, to attend the Tripartite Social Summit on Growth and Employment and the Spring European Council. The Tripartite Social Summit will be held before the European Council meeting and will discuss the importance of social dialogue as a key instrument for restoring growth and jobs.

Taoiseach Attends Meeting In Brussels
The Taoiseach, Mr Enda Kenny TD, will represent the Presidency of the Council of the European Union at a meeting in Brussels of Europe's "Four Presidents" today, Monday 4 February, 2013 to discuss the EU's multiannual budget. Negotiations on the budget will resume at the European Council later this week.
