Gardaí Warning Over Stolen Drugs

Gardaí have released a public warning following a break-in at a pharmacy in Westmeath.

Officers are warning that during the burglary, which took place on Monday evening, a large number of various drugs were stolen, some of which could be extremely hazardous.

According to Gardaí, among those stolen were Hydromorphane injections and Methadone Injections.

Officers have been informed that both of these drugs are highly potent and if someone who wasn’t used to taking such drugs took them they would have difficulty breathing within minutes.

If anyone has taken these drugs it is imperative that they get to Hospital immediately.

Gardaí are also appealing for anyone with information on the robbery to contact Mullingar Garda Station on 044-9384000 or the Garda Confidential Line on 1800-666-111.

A teenager has been arrested in connection with a drugs find in Dublin on Wednesday. Gardaí say the find was a result of an ongoing operation targeting the sale and supply of drugs in the Lucan area.

Four Rob Dublin Pharmaceutical Plant
The hunt is on for four men who robbed a pharmaceutical company in Dublin in the early hours of Tuesday morning. Gardaí at Howth Garda Station are investigating the theft, during which thieves made off with a large quantity of drugs from a pharmaceutical company at Baldoyle Industrial Estate during the night.

Revenue officers have seized more than 29,000 illegal cigarettes during a series of searches in Finglas and Dublin city centre. Officers made the seizure during the search of an apartment in Finglas and retail premises in Dublin on Tuesday.
