Ballsbridge High-Rise Gets Submissions Of Support

A high-rise development in the Ballsbridge area has reportedly received 87 submissions of support for the plan.

The plans by Sean Dunne to build a high-rise development in the Ballsbridge area of south Dublin have received the submissions in spite of disagreement in the Council on whether to back the project.

The planning appeals body will be holding a preliminary meeting next week to discuss the submissions for the site of the Jury's and Berkeley Court hotels.

There have also been calls for the reinstatement of a proposed 37-storey tower that was omitted by Dublin City Council planners.

Reports say several identical letters have been received expressing dismay at the council's decision to reject the tower.

Local Labour Councillor Dermot Lacey believes the project is wrong for the area and needs to be revised in its entirety.
