Three Held As Gardaí Foil Armed Raid
The Gardaí has just revealed that it is holding three men following dramatic police intervention during an attempted robbery at a business premises in Fairview, Dublin 3.
The trio are currently being detained in Whitehall, Fairview and Raheny Garda stations.
The police have said that at approximately 10pm on Sunday, three men entered a DVD rental/electronic store, as staff were closing for the night.
The raiders were armed with what is believed to be a handgun.
They then tied up the staff of the shop, and attempted to gain access to a safe. However, gardaí responded to a call about this incident and rushed to the scene where the suspected raiders were still on the premises.
All three were arrested.

€60k Cocaine Seized In Co Cork Raid
Gardaí in Co Cork have seized over €60,000 worth of suspected cocaine and a suspected imitation firearm. The drugs were discovered at a house in the Newmarket area on Thursday night, 12 September. No arrests have been made as yet. An investigation is ongoing and all items will be sent for analysis.

Public Alert Gardaí To Arms Cache
Gardaí have uncovered a number of firearms following a crucial tip-off. Shortly before 6pm yesterday evening, three firearms believed to be handguns were recovered in the Inniscarra area of County Cork. A Garda spokesman said a member of the public had alerted Gardaí to the find.

Gardaí Injured During Drugs Raid
A man has been arrested after three gardaí were injured during a drug search in County Louth on Friday. The incident occurred at a property in Termonfeckin after 9am. The officers are believed to have been attacked with a knife and a pitbull dog was set on them. A man in his 30s is being held at Drogheda Garda Station.

Woman Arrested Over Kerry Post Office Raid
A woman has been arrested in connection with an armed raid at a post office in Co Kerry. The suspect was arrested at around 5.30pm in Killarney on Thursday, 04 August. A sum of cash was stolen from Waterville Post Office at around 11am on Wednesday, 03 August. Two men were arrested in the area after the incident.

Shot Fired During ATM Robbery
A shot was fired at gardai following an attempted raid on an ATM machine in Enniscorthy, Co Wexford. It is believed to have been fired by one of the raiders who was carrying a gun. Three suspects made off in a black estate car. An undisclosed sum of money was taken. It is believed explosives were used on the ATM to get the money.
