Father And Son Shot Dead

The State Pathologist's office has been called in about a tragic double shooting uncovered this morning in Co Kerry.

While the gardai are saying little - insisting they will be releasing no further information - it is known that the police are investigating the deaths of two men whose bodies were found at a house in the north of the county this morning.

The bodies are thought to be father and son, aged 54 and 27, and are understood to have died from gunshot wounds.

Their bodies were discovered by a family member in a house in Moyvane, north of Listowel.

The scene has been sealed off for forensic examination and post mortems will also be carried out.

The Garda Technical Bureau is also expected at the scene.
