Man Arrested Over Kilkenny Woman's Death

Gardaí are continuing to question a man in connection with the death of a 42-year-old woman in Kilkenny over the weekend.

Lorraine White died after being rushed to St Luke's Hospital, suffering from major internal injuries, last Saturday morning.

A post-mortem has been carried out, but the results have not yet been released. According to reports, gardaí are still waiting on further tests and medical reports.

A man was arrested in Cahir, Co. Tipperary around 8pm on Sunday in connection with her death.

He is being questioned at Kilkenny Garda Station.

Garda investigating the death of Anthony Barrett have arrested a Kilkenny man. Mr Barrett, who was in his 40s and originally from Castlecomer, was found with fatal injuries at a house in Fatima Place on the evening of 7 March.

Man Released Over Kilkenny Death
Gardai in Kilkenny have released a man without charge over the death of a woman at the weekend. He was released in the early hours of this morning and a file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions. Lorraine White, a mother-of-five, was admitted to St Luke's Hospital on Saturday but later died from major internal injuries.

Yellow Weather Warning Issued For Heavy Rain
A yellow weather warning for rain has been put in place across many counties in Ireland. The warning came into effect at 11pm on Sunday night, 13 October, and is in place until 11.59pm on Monday, 14 October.
