Pensioner Dies After Co Clare Fire

An elderly woman has died following a house fire in County Clare, it has been revealed.

The blaze took place near the village of O'Callaghan's Mills just after 6.30pm yesterday evening.

The woman was in her 80s.

A technical examination is currently underway to determine the cause of the fire.

Meanwhile, two people have been rescued from a residential building on the North Circular Road in Dublin after a fire broke out.

Four units of Dublin Fire Brigade attended the scene at Delia House, just after 3am. Both people have reportedly escaped serious injury and were treated at the scene by ambulance staff.

Woman Dies In House Fire In Co Clare
A woman has died in a house fire in Co Clare. The victim, in her 50s, was alone at the property in Derrynavaha, Craggah, when the fire started at around 7pm on Sunday night. Gardai are currently investigating the incident.
