Co Wicklow Body Found

A state pathologist is investigating a body found near Bray Head in Co Wicklow.

Although the body has yet to be formerly identified, relatives of missing 78 year-old Maura Reynolds have arrived at the scene.

Gardai were not able to disclose at this stage what clothing was found with remains or the sex of the individual.

Superintendent Michael Lernihan of Bray Grada Station said initial examinations suggest that they are those of an elderly person, and said he could not at this stage say if foul play was suspected.

Maura Reynolds went missing from a nursing home just over 1km away on 25 December 2005. But gardaí say it is too early to confirm the identity of the body.
