New Road Layouts For Red Cow Junction

Motorists driving through the M50 in Dublin's Red Cow roundabout are facing new road layouts from today.

Two lanes have been opened at the Monastery Lane traffic lights for the N7 eastbound to the city and Luas, as well as two lanes for traffic travelling southbound and northbound.

Citybound traffic at Monastery Lane will also no longer have to stop at traffic lights, which will be closed for inbound traffic.

Drivers travelling to the M50 southbound and northbound will also be able to use a free-flow over-bridge link to access the motorway.

However, M50 northbound traffic will have to travel south to the new Junction 10 Ballymount Junction and U-turn until the new northbound free-flow slip road, which is currently under construction, comes into operation.
