Search For Missing Diver: Body Found

The body of a diver missing off the Co Galway coast has been recovered this afternoon.

The 42-year-old man was with three colleagues diving close to the entrance of Killary Harbour. They raised the alarm when the man failed to surface.

Coast Guard, rescue teams, and the Garda diving unit were involved in the search operation.

Search Continues For Missing Diver
A search for a diver missing off the west coast of Cork has recommenced. The man has been missing from yesterday evening. Three men had been diving at a site approximately 12 miles south of Baltimore and one man did not return to the surface. The three men who were diving are believed to be German.

Contracts Awarded For Raising Trawlers
The government has awarded a contract to raise two fishing vessels, which sank off the southeast coast of Ireland. The contract for raising the 'Pere Charles' and the 'Maggie B' has been awarded to north Co Dublin company Irish Diving Contractors.

Missing Cork Man Found 'Safe And Well'
A missing 52-year-old man from Cork has been found 'safe and well', garda have reported. John Ryan was last seen in the Shanakiel area of Cork City on Wednesday, 24 May. However, Mr Ryan has now been located and no further action is required.

Missing Co Mayo Man Found 'Safe And Well'
Missing Co Mayo man, David Duffy, has been found safe and well, garda have reported. Garda had issued an appeal for help in tracing 36-year-old Mr Duffy, who had not been seen since Sunday. Garda have thanked the public for their help and said that no further action is needed.
