Teenager Charged In Connection With Dublin Stabbing

A 17-year-old youth charged this morning with the fatal stabbing of another teenager in Dublin last May has been remanded in custody at Dublin Children's Court.

The boy, who cannot be named because of his age, was charged with the death of Sean Nolan, 18, from Griffith Court in Fairview.

It is understood the victim was walking home along the Waterloo Road in Ballsbridge when he was stabbed to death in the early hours of May 26.

He was rushed to hospital but died soon after. He was due to sit his Leaving Certificate exams later that month.

A 20-year-old Dublin man has been charged in connection with the stabbing of Mark Spellman in Sandymount on Saturday morning. Dane Pearse from the Irishtown area of south Dublin has been charged at Dublin District Court with serious assault and possession of a weapon.

Man In Court Over McGrath Stabbing
A man has appeared in court charged in connection with the stabbing of Anthony McGrath. Mr McGrath, 23, of Whitestown Walk in Clonsilla in Dublin was stabbed to death at his home on October 29 last year. Derek McGrath, 35, of Fortlawn Park, Mountview, Blanchardstown appeared before Dublin District Court on Wednesday, charged with the murder.

Drugs And Cigarettes Seized At Dublin Airport
Two people have been arrested at Dublin Airport after it was discovered they had ingested pellets of cannabis resin worth an estimated €14,000. Revenue officers stopped the man and woman, both aged in their 50s, at the airport on Thursday 24 March, when they arrived in Dublin airport on a flight from Seville.

Man Charged Over Serious Assault
A man in his 20s is expected to appear in court, charged in connection with a serious assault that happened at Dorset Street, Dublin. On Sunday morning, at around 1.45am, Gardaí were called to the scene at an apartment at Kelly's Row. A man, aged in his 30s, was suffered serious injuries in the attack and was taken to hospital for treatment.
