Tyrone Schoolboy Dies During Gaelic Game

An 11-year-old boy has died after he collapsed during a GAA training session in County Tyrone yesterday evening.

Patrick Breen, from Dregish, was taking part in a training game in Drumquin on Tuesday evening when he fell to the ground.

The young boy was training with his teammates for a match, which was due to take place tomorrow night.

Emergency aid was given to the boy but he was declared dead at the Erne Hospital a short time later.

It is understood that 14 boys and girls were participating in the training session when the incident occurred at Drumquin outside Omagh.

The team was an amalgamated grouping made up from two small rural clubs Drumquin and Dregish.

A post mortem examination is due to be carried out on Thursday.

PSNI Investigating Fatal Collision Near Bready, Co Tyrone

At around 1.40pm on Sunday, 07 April, police responded to a report of a single vehicle collision on the Victoria Road. Garda Appeal For Witnesses To Fatal Road Crash
Gardaí in Co Westmeath are appealing to witnesses of a fatal road accident on the Athlone bypass on Sunday afternoon. A five-month-old baby boy died after the car he was travelling in veered off the road onto the hard shoulder and collided with the crash barrier. A three-year-old girl was also injured in the collision.

Missing Five-Year-Old Boy Found 'Safe And Well'
A young boy missing from Dun Laoghaire has been found "safe and well", Gardaí have reported. Richard Roche, aged 5, went missing from the People's Park on Sunday, 02 July. However, he has now been found and Gardaí wish to express their thanks to all members of the public and media for their assistance.

A 14-year-old boy reported missing on Wednesday has been found "safe and well. Garda issued an appeal for help in tracing Dillon O'Neill, who had not been seen since just before 18:00 on Wednesday, 07 September.
