Informal meetings of EU Defence Ministers and EU Foreign Affairs Ministers will be held at Druids Glen, Co Wicklow. Proceedings begin on Monday 31 August and run until Wednesday afternoon, 2 September, as part of the Presidency of the Council of the European Union.

Delegations will arrive via Dublin Airport on Monday 31 August and Tuesday 1 September. Normal operations at the airport will continue throughout.

Traffic restrictions will operate until Wednesday 2 September on roads around the Druids Glen Hotel and Golf Resort. Affected routes include Woodstock Road, Creowen Road, Leabeg Lane, Kilmullin Lane, Kilquade Hill Road and the R772 (Killadrennan). An Garda Síochána is facilitating access for local residents and businesses and has contacted affected premises. Limited Garda motorcycle rolling road closures may occur to accommodate security escorts. The public are asked to follow the directions of Gardaí if they encounter any restrictions or temporary closures. An Garda Síochána is working to ensure the policing and security operation for the EU Presidency is proportionate and focused on public safety. The organisation will share further information with the public as soon as it is in a position to do so, asks people to heed Garda advice and instructions, and thanks them for their co-operation. Engagement with Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII) and public transport providers is ongoing to minimise disruption, and all operational plans remain subject to change for security and operational reasons.

Drone restrictions: UAS Geographical Zones and/or Temporary Restricted Airspace (TRAs) will be in force at venues hosting EU Presidency events, restricting the operation of Unmanned Aircraft Systems (drones). These measures are issued by the Irish Aviation Authority (IAA), and some may be introduced at short notice for operational reasons. Drone pilots should check the IAA website immediately before any flight for current UAS Geographical Zones and TRAs. UAS detection systems will be deployed to identify drones flying in restricted areas and the location of their pilots. Breaches of TRAs and Geographical Zones are subject to investigation by An Garda Síochána and the IAA. Maritime restrictions: A temporary maritime exclusion zone, with an associated outer control area, will apply in the waters off Co Wicklow. This marine notice is issued to advise mariners of navigational restrictions linked to the exclusion zone and control area. Marine notices are issued for maritime safety and navigation purposes, and a list is published by the Department of Transport on the Gov.ie website.
