Gardaí Investigate Sudden Death of Man in Castlebar
Gardaí in County Mayo have launched an investigation following the sudden death of a man in Castlebar on Thursday, 7 May 2026.
Emergency services and Gardaí were alerted to the incident shortly after 9:00am after a man in his 30s was discovered unresponsive at a residential property in the town. He was pronounced deceased at the scene a short time later. The scene currently remains preserved for a technical examination, and both the local Coroner and the Office of the State Pathologist have been formally notified.
Authorities have confirmed that a post-mortem examination will be arranged, the results of which will determine the direction of the ongoing Garda inquiry. At present, investigations are continuing and further updates are expected once the medical findings are established.

Missing 25-Year-Old Man Found 'Safe And Well'
A 25-year-old man who was missing from Harcourt Street in Dublin has been found safe and well, Gardaí have reported. Simon Quinn was reported missing after last being seen at around 2.30am on Monday, 30 July. However, Mr Quinn has now been found and Gardaí said they wish to thank the media and public for their assistance.

19-Year-Old Man Arrested After Body Found In Co Kerry
Gardaí in Co Kerry have arrested a 19-year-old man in connection with the discovery of a woman's body near the village of Lixnaw. According to garda, the body of a woman, believed to be in her 50s, was found by a neighbour shortly after 10am on Wednesday morning.

An investigation has been launched into the death of a man following a shooting in Saggart in Co Dublin. It is understood a man in his 40s was attacked at about 23:00 on Tuesday at a house in Botherboy. He was later pronounced dead at Tallaght Hospital. The scene of the shooting has been sealed off pending a forensic examination.

Man Killed In Co Dublin Road Accident
A man has died in a single vehicle road accident on Tuesday night in Co Dublin. According to Gardaí, the man died when his car hit a wall on the railway bridge on Moyne Road, Baldoyle, at around 10.45pm last night (Tuesday). The victim, understood to be 30-years-old, was pronounced dead at the scene. He was the only person in the car.
