Warning Issued Over Videos Of Murdered Teen

Gardaí have urged members of the public not to share images and videos relating to the murder of Keane Mulready-Woods.

A statement said reports of "unverified" footage circulating on social messaging apps is causing distress to the murdered teen's family.

It's believed they feature images of the deceased and provide false support to those responsible for the crime.

The 17 year-old was murdered sometime after he went missing on Sunday 12 January.

His remains were later found in two separate areas of the city, sparking a lagescale Garda operation coordinated from Drogheda station.

An updated statement related to the videos said: "They are distressing to Keane's family and if verified are disrespectful images of the deceased and provide false support to the perpetrators of this brutal crime.

"Gardaí are asking people not to share this material."

Anyone with details on the origin of such material is asked to contact Gardaí in Drogheda on 041 9874200, the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111, Crime Stoppers 1800 250 025 or any Garda station.
