Man Injured In Shooting In Dublin City

Gardaí have issued an appeal for information following a shooting incident in the North Strand area of Dublin City.

At approximately 6.45am on Sunday 01 December, Gardaí were called to a flat on North Strand Road where members of Dublin Fire Brigade were treating a man in his 20s for an apparent gunshot wound. The man was taken from the scene by Ambulance to the Mater Hospital. His injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

The scene has been preserved for a forensic and technical examination. No arrests have been made to date and enquires are ongoing.

Murder Investigation Launched After Clontarf Fire
Gardai have launched a murder investigation following the discovery of a body in a house in Clontarf, north Dublin, which was destroyed in a blaze. The fire broke out around 2:30am on Thursday morning at the house on Seafield Road East. A 38-year-old man was arrested after the fire was extinguished and he was taken to Raheny Garda Station.

Missing Dublin Man Found 'Safe And Well'
A Dublin man missing since Sunday morning has been found "safe and well". 27-year-old Glen Fitzpatrick was reported missing from his home in Inchicore, Dublin 8. Gardaí had issued an appeal for information on Monday and have thanked the public for their help. No details of where Mr Fitzpatrick was during the time he was missing have been released.
