Alert As Improvised Explosive Discovered In Dublin

A security alert took place in Dublin on Thursday as an improvised explosive device was discovered.

Bomb disposal squads from the Army were deployed to Santry at around 10am after a suspect device was found.

Army personnel set up a cordon and evacuated nearby buildings to ensure public safety during the operation.

One improvised explosive was made safe and removed for further examination.

Members of the public have been advised to continue reporting any suspicious devices or hazardous items they come across while always maintaining a safe distance.

A viable explosive device has been made safe during a security operation in Co Kildare. Gardaí responded to a report of a suspect device in Leixlip on Monday night. Army bomb disposal experts examined the device and declared it 'viable'. The device was made safe just after midnight.

Viable Explosive Device 'Made Safe'
A viable explosive device has been made safe in Co Cork. According to reports, a controlled explosion was carried out on the device on Friday (13 February). The object was discovered outside a house in the Knocknaheeney area at around 10am this morning. A number of nearby homes were evacuated and roads were closed.
