Man Arrested After Pint Of Guinness Found In Car's Cup Holder

A man has been arrested after gardaí found a pint of Guinness in his car's cup holder.

Garda in Meath described the incident as "the most bizarre yet". The arrest was made when garda made the discovery a checkpoint on the R132 at Gormanstown.

It is understood that alongside the poured pint glass of Guinness, a further 8 cans were found in the car's backseat.

The man was arrested and charged and is due to appear before Drogheda District Court in March.

Man Arrested Following Drugs Find
Drugs with an estimated street value of €170,000 have been seized by gardai during a raid on a property in west Dublin. Cocaine and cannabis was found during the raid at a house in Balgaddy. A gun and ammunition were also discovered. A 37-year=old has been arrested and is being detained at Ronanstown Garda Station.

Cannabis worth an estimated €150,000 has been seized from a home in Larchill, Santry in Dublin, on Saturday. Gardaí arrested four men in connection with the find. They are due to appear in court on Monday.

Men Arrested Over €1m Cocaine And Heroin Find
Heroin and cocaine, with an estimated street value of €1m, has been recovered in a house search in Ballyfermot on Tuesday. Gardaí arrested two men, aged in their 30s, at the scene after officers uncovered 13kgs of cocaine worth an estimated €900,000 and 1.5kgs of heroin, with an estimated value of €225,000.
