Series Of Search Operations Carried Out Across Dublin And Galway

A series of search operations have been carried out at five residential addresses and four business premises in Dublin, and one business premises in Galway.

The operations were conducted by the Criminal Assets Bureau assisted by local Gardaí, the regional Public Order Unit and the Dublin Regional Armed Response Unit, Revenue Customs Officers, ESB staff, Garda National Bureau of Criminal Investigation – stolen motor vehicle investigation unit.

Gardaí have reported that the following items of note were seized during the search operations: Fiat Camper Van (2016 registration) value approximately €100,000, VW Transporter (171 Registration) valued €20,000, VW Golf (142 registration) value €13,500, approximately £3,500 sterling, ladies Rolex watch. A quantity of documents and electronic devices were seized for analysis.

Separately during the operation two people were arrested by local Gardaí, one as part of a robbery investigation and one as part of an assault investigation.

Documents and a number of electronic devices are being examined by investigating officers.

Speaking today Chief Superintendent Clavin, CAB Bureau Chief said: "The CAB investigation into assets suspected of being derived from Criminal conduct is continuing and today's search operation represents significant progress in the investigation."

Eight Arrested In Dublin Drug Operations
A total of eight men have been arrested in a night of multi-million euro drug seizure operations in Dublin last night. In the first of two operations yesterday evening, Gardaí arrested three males, one in his 20’s and two in their 30’s following a search of a business premises at the Greenogue Business Park, Rathcoole.

Four Girls In Hospital After Aerosol Explosion
Garda are investigating the circumstances surrounding four girls ending up in hospital after an aerosol exploded in a house in Drogheda on Sunday. The girls are being treated in hospital, two in Crumlin's children's hospital and two in Tallaght, following the incident. Their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
