Bus Driver Found To Be Nine Times Over Drink Driving Limit
A bus driver has been arrested by gardaí after he was found to be nine times over the legal alcohol limit while driving on the M7 in Co Kildare.
Naas Roads Policing Unit stopped the bus at about 7pm on Tuesday, 02 October. The driver, a man aged in his 60s, was detained at the scene.
There were no passengers on the bus at the time of the arrest.
The man will appear before Naas District Court.

Investigation Launches Into Dublin Bus Fire
An investigation has been launched into a fire on a Dublin Bus. The Fire Brigade was called to the out of service bus after it caught fire at about 13:00 in the Harold's Cross area. There were no passengers on board the bus at the time and the driver escaped uninjured. It is not yet known what caused the fire.

Former Bus Driver Found Not Guilty Of Killing Woman During Rampage
A former bus driver standing trial of a destructive rampage leading to the death of a pensioner has been found not guilty by verdict of insanity. The Jury acquitted Peter Clarke, 38, a former City of London policeman, after evidence from a Central Mental Hospital Director revealed Clarke was suffering from “paranoid schizophrenia”.
