Man Killed And Two Teenagers Injured In Co Cork Collision

Gardaí have issued an appeal for information to a fatal road traffic collision in Co Cork.

A man, aged in his late 30s, died and two teenagers were injured in a collision involving a van and a tractor on the R522 regional road at Ballincurrig, between Buttevant and Liscarroll in north Cork on Monday, 04 June.

It is understood that the teenagers injured in the collision was the van drivers 14-year-old daughter and a 17-year-old male, family friend.

According to reports, the man's wife and mother of the teenage girl was travelling in a car behind the van and witnessed the collision.

The driver of the tractor was uninjured in the incident.

Gardaí have issued an appealed to any one who witnessed the collision to contact them.

Man Leaves Scene Of Fatal Accident
A man has been arrested after fleeing from the scene of a fatal accident on County Cork in the early hours of this morning. Two men in their 20s were killed in a head on collision of two vehicles at approximately 2.45am this morning on the N25 at Caherulton, Castlemartyr, County Cork.

Man Dies In Cork Road Collision
A man has died after the van he was driving hit a tree in Cork this morning. The fatal collision occurred on the main Killarney to Mallow road at around 10am. The man, who was in his 50s, was driving a red Toyota Corolla van. Gardai are appealing for witnesses to contact them. The road remains closed and diversions are in place.

Witness Appeal Following Death Of A Man In Co Monaghan
Gardaí have appeal for witnesses following the death of a man in County Monaghan. The body of the man, believed to be aged in his 80s, was discovered on the side of the road at Carnaveigh, Castleblaney at 4pm on Wednesday, 11 October. A blue Opel Corsa was found crashed nearby. The driver of the car, a woman in her 20s, was not injured.
