Man Arrested In Connection With Anne Colomines Murder

A 35-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the murder of Anne Colomines.

The body of Anne Colomines was found at an apartment at Dorset Square in Dublin on 24 October.

Gardaí had been called to reports of an incident at the apartments at around 11.30pm. When they arrived they discovered Anne Colomine, 37, and a man with serious injuries. Both were treated at scene by DFB, with the man being taken to the Mater Hospital. Anne Colomine was pronounced dead at the scene.

An arrest was made on Dublin City on Friday, 10 November. He remains in custody at Mountjoy Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 as amended.

Gardaí said that their investigation is ongoing.

Woman's Body Found In Co Wicklow
A post-mortem is to be carried out on the body of a woman discovered dead in County Wicklow on Tuesday. Gardaí found the body in a shed in Killoughter, following the disappearance of 17-year-old Anne Shortfall, who has been missing since last Friday. A full technical examination is being carried out at the scene. A man, 38, has been arrested.

Minister Apologises After Children Are Left Out In The Cold
Education Minister Ruairi Quinn has apologised after children at a Dublin school had to wear their coats at all times because it was unable to pay for its boiler to be fixed for five weeks. The Principal of Our Lady of the Wayside National School in Bluebell, Anne McCluskey, announced they do not have the €300 for the repairs.

Man Arrested Over €400,000 Cannabis Find
Cannabis with an estimated value of €400,000 has been seized in Co Donegal. Members of the Revenue and Gardaí uncovered the drugs during a search at Castlefin on Tuesday. Garda arrested a man in his 30s in connection with the find.

Man Arrested Following Drugs Find
Drugs with an estimated street value of €170,000 have been seized by gardai during a raid on a property in west Dublin. Cocaine and cannabis was found during the raid at a house in Balgaddy. A gun and ammunition were also discovered. A 37-year=old has been arrested and is being detained at Ronanstown Garda Station.

Missing 25-Year-Old Man Found 'Safe And Well'
A 25-year-old man who was missing from Harcourt Street in Dublin has been found safe and well, Gardaí have reported. Simon Quinn was reported missing after last being seen at around 2.30am on Monday, 30 July. However, Mr Quinn has now been found and Gardaí said they wish to thank the media and public for their assistance.
