Two People Killed In Cork Road Crash

Two people have been killed in a road collision in Cork.

Four other people have also been injured in the incident, which involved three vehicles on the main Cork to Limerick road at the junction for Waterloo at around 11am today, 11 September.

A man and woman, both aged in their 60s, were pronounced dead at the scene.

The man who was driving the car and another woman passenger, also both aged in their 60s, received non-life threatening injuries and were taken to Cork University Hospital.

The driver of the second car is also believed to have non-life threatening injuries and is receiving hospital treatment.

The N20 Cork-Limerick road has been closed in both directions.

Garda are appealing for witnesses to contact them.

Man Leaves Scene Of Fatal Accident
A man has been arrested after fleeing from the scene of a fatal accident on County Cork in the early hours of this morning. Two men in their 20s were killed in a head on collision of two vehicles at approximately 2.45am this morning on the N25 at Caherulton, Castlemartyr, County Cork.

Manhunt After Two Stabbed In Cork
Gardaí have launched a manhunt after two people were stabbed at Cork University Hospital. According to reports, it is thought the two men got into a fight with a third man on the ground of the hospital earlier today (23 October). The victims are receiving treatment at the scene, but their injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
