Body Of Man Suspected Of Killing Family Exhumed

Gardaí have exhumed the body of Alan Hawe, who was found dead along with his wife Clodagh and their children Liam, 13, Niall, 11, and Ryan, six, in their house in Co Cavan in August last year.

Gardaí believe Mr Hawe killed his family before taking his own life at their home at Oakdene, Barconey, near Ballyjamesduff.

According to reports the Health Service Executive and officials from Cavan County Council assisted gardaí with the exhumation at the graveyard of St Mary's Church, Castlerahan.

It is understood the body must be reburied or cremated within 48 hours.

Body Being Exhumed After Man Claims 1994 Murder
The body of a woman found dead in Dublin on 8th October 1994 is to be exhumed to undergo a post-mortem in light of new information given to gardaí. The body of Margot Seary (42) was found at a flat in Rathmines following a night out with friends. A post-mortem found that she had died of asphyxiation after choking.

Body Exhumed In Search For Missing Man
Gardaí investigating the disappearance of a man in 1987 have exhumed a body after a tip off. Brian McGrath, aged then 43, was last seen in 1987. Early on Monday morning Gardai exhumed remains at Whitehall Cemetery, Coole, Co Westmeath to be taken to Dublin City Morgue for additional post mortem examination and further tests.

Investigation Launched After Body Found In Carlow
The body of a woman has been found in a house in Carlow. Gardaí say that the body of a 37-year-old woman was discovered at a house in the Craigcullen area of Carlow at about 21:45 on Sunday. The body remains at the scene to allow for a forensic examination. The identity of the woman has not yet been released.

Investigation Launched Into Galway Body Find
Gardaí have launched an investigation following the discovery of a man's body in an apartment in Galway City. It is understood that the man's body was found by his flatmate on Monday. According to reports, the dead man is believed to be a 23-year-old from Tullamore in Co Offaly who was studying in Galway City.
