Man Arrested Over Robert Ellis Murder
A man has been arrested in connection with the murder of Robert Ellis.
The suspect, aged in his 20s, was arrested this morning, Tuesday, and is being detained under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 at Lucan Garda Station.
Mr Ellis was fatally injured in an incident at a bonfire in the early hours of Tuesday, 01 November, 2016, at Liscarne Gardens.
Garda believed that Mr Ellis had been chased by a number of people before being attacked.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The latest construction figures show that not enough housing is being built to meet demand, Sinn Féin housing spokesperson Dessie Ellis has said. Deputy Ellis said that the figures show that it is "all the more obvious" that the state must intervene in the housing crisis with major capital investment on an annual basis.

Life Sentence For Dublin Murderer
40-year-old Wayne Kinsella has been sentenced to life in prison for the murder of Adil Essalhi in Dublin last year. Mr Essalhi (31), a father of five, died after suffering a violent assault during which he was struck almost 60 times in the head, neck and arms with a machete-type weapon and a knife.

Man Arrested Over €400,000 Cannabis Find
Cannabis with an estimated value of €400,000 has been seized in Co Donegal. Members of the Revenue and Gardaí uncovered the drugs during a search at Castlefin on Tuesday. Garda arrested a man in his 30s in connection with the find.
