DCC Warns Of Weekend Water Outages During Repair Works

Dublin City Council has warned residents in a number of areas of a possible disruption to the water supply as essential maintenance work is carried out.

Valve repair work is to be carried out on a large water main throughout Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 August.

Residents have been told to expect reduced water pressure and possible short durations of loss of supply.

The areas likely to be affected include: Cabra, Phibsborough, Glasnevin, Drumcondra, Whitehall, Marino, Santry, Beaumont, Donnycarney, Artane, Constitution Hill, North King St., James St, Kilmainham, Islandbridge, South Circular Road, Rialto, Dolphins Barn, St Stephen's Green, Leeson Street and surrounding areas.

A number of water tankers will be available on both days, the council said.
