Three Men Arrested Over Seizure Of Suspected Stolen Goods
Gardaí have arrested three men and seized suspected stolen property in an operation at Rosslare Europort.
The arrests were made on Thursday, 25 February, in a joint operation between garda and Revenue Officers.
In the operation a white Mercedes lorry was stopped as it was about to board a ferry departing Rosslare for Cherbourg. An initial search of the lorry revealed what Gardaí believed to be stolen property.
During a further search of the lorry, property including bicycles, power tools, garden machinery and beer kegs were discovered. The approximate value of the property seized is around €70,000.
The occupants of the vehicle, three men in their 20s and 30s and all Romanian nationals with addresses in Ireland, were arrested at the scene. They have been detained at Wexford Garda station under section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.

Heroin and cocaine, with an estimated street value of €1m, has been recovered in a house search in Ballyfermot on Tuesday. Gardaí arrested two men, aged in their 30s, at the scene after officers uncovered 13kgs of cocaine worth an estimated €900,000 and 1.5kgs of heroin, with an estimated value of €225,000.

Customs Seize 120,000 Illegal Cigarettes
Cigarettes with an estimated retail value of €57,000 have been seized by customs officers at Cork Airport. Some 120,000 Marlboro cigarettes were discovered in 12 suitcases that had arrived on a flight from Wroclaw, Poland. Garda arrested two men, understood to be Polish nationals, in connection with the find.
