Man Arrested Over Ecstasy Seizure

Drugs worth almost €230,000 have been seized during planned searches in the Balgaddy area of Clondalkin.

Gardaí from the Lucan/Ronanstown Drugs Unit carried out a planned search on Monday, 10 August just before 20:30.

Ecstasy tablets with a value of €225,000 and prescription drugs, valued at €4,000, were seized.

A man, aged in his early 40s, was arrested at the scene and is currently being detained at Ronanstown Garda Station under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996.

Gardaí said that the operation used "advanced analytical and intelligence methods to disrupt criminals and dismantle their networks".

Man Arrested And Drugs Seized In Celbridge
A man has been arrested following the seizure of €120,000 of drugs in a planned search in Celbridge on Wednesday night. Herion and cannabis resin were recovered from a house in St Patrick's Park in the town. A 19-year-old was arrested at the scene, garda have said.

Cannabis Seized In Co Kildare
Gardaí in Co Kildare have seized cannabis worth an estimated €800,000. The find was made during a planned search of a house in Crossmorris on Monday. Officers seized 40kg of cannabis herb in the search. A 43-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the find.

Six Arrested In Garda Drug Raids
A garda operation targeting gangs involved in manufacturing drugs launched raids on Tuesday morning at 20 different address across the south east of Ireland. More than 60 officers were involved in the raids in counties Carlow, Kilkenny, Tipperary and Waterford. Garda said that six men were arrested in Kilkenny city in connection with the raid.
